'Rin-ne' Anime Gets Additional Japanese Voice Cast Members Fumi Hirano And Aya Endo

Today it was announced that Japanese voice actresses Fumi Hirano and Aya Endo would be joining the cast of Rumiko Takahashi's "Rin-ne" anime series. Fumi Hirano will play Sakura's mother, and Aya Endo will play Kain's mother.

Anime News Network reports the following previously announced voice cast for the "Rin-ne" anime series:

Hitomi Nabatame as Rokumon

Kaito Ishikawa as Rinne Rokudō

Marina Inoue as Sakura Mamiya

Izumi Kitta as Bijin (Beautiful Secretary)

Kappei Yamaguchi as Sabato Rokudō

Rie Murakawa as Ageha

Ryohei Kimura as Tsubasa Jūmonji

Satsuki Yukino as Tamako

Sōma Saitō as Kain

Tetsuya Kakihara as Masato

Staff for the "Rin-ne" anime adaptation include Seiki Sugawara, who is directing the series for Brains Base animation studio, Michiko Yokote, who is handling the scripts, and Akimitsu Honma, who is composing the music. NHK Enterprises is also handling production. "Rin-ne" will run for 25 episodes.

VIZ Media, who published the volumes of Rumiko Takahashi's original manga version of "Rin-ne" in North America, describes the series as follows:

"As a child Sakura Mamiya mysteriously disappeared in the woods behind her grandma's home. She returned whole and healthy, but since then she has had the power to see ghosts. Now a teenager, she just wishes the ghosts would leave her alone! At school, the desk next to Sakura's has been empty since the start of the school year. Then one day her always-absent classmate Rinne Rokudo shows up, and he's far more than what he seems!"
