A wedding and a funeral may be happening in "Downton Abbey" season 6.

According to a report on Mail Online, the period TV series has shot some emotional scenes last week in Bampton, Oxfordshire and a scene in a church sent rumors swirling someone might be walking down the aisle or getting buried.

"I can probably guarantee a wedding, the odd funeral or two or nine," Rob James-Collier, who portrays Thomas Barrow teased.

He did not mention though who might be getting married or dying this coming season.

Mail Online consulted experts from online betting site Ladbrokes on who might likely wed or die. According to them, five possible weddings may happen and among those that might walk the aisle were Lady Mary, Mrs. Crawley, Tom Branson, Lady Edith and Carson. Meanwhile, among those that they think will die were the under-butler Thomas Barrow, the Earl of Grantham or Dowager Countess of Grantham, portrayed by Maggie Smith.

Other cast members remain mum though on what might be happening further on the show.

"I couldn't possibly answer that without being shot," Samantha Bond, who plays Lady Rosamund Painswick exclaimed when asked for spoilers.

The cast though got into action to thank the locals of Bampton, who kept up with them for the past seasons. The filming for "Downton Abbey" season 6 has wrapped up last Friday and Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Allen Leech, Penelope Wilton and Kevin Doyle spent time with the locals, according to The Hollywood Reporter, to show them their gratefulness.

In pictures shared by the Bampton Beam, the cast dressed down to their jeans and sipped drinks from a plastic cup as they celebrated the end of filming for the final season with the locals. Some of the cast even went as far as serving the drinks during the celebration.

"Downton Abbey" season 6 will air this fall in the UK. It is expected for release in the US early next year.
