Netflix's "Sense8" series has been met with a positive review after the first season aired. However, the confirmation for a season 2 renewal is yet to be heard nor read.

The sci-fi TV series is known to have already garnered a following despite it being on air for only a season so far. Now that the renewal is still up in the air, followers are dumbfounded as to why Netflix has not finalized anything for a second season yet.

As known to the public, one of the directors for almost every episode were the Wachowskis. Also, the directors were divided by the location and not per episode. While unconventional, it is said to be more effective in terms of logistics with production.

The Wachowskis were joined by another acclaimed director, Michael Straczynski, creator of "Babylon 5." That being said, fans are still scratching their heads as to why "Sense8" season 2 renewal is still up in the air. According to them, the pool of directors should be enough reason for the show to be renewed.

In an interview with the press, Straczynski said that they are hopeful for the renewal of the show. "We're cautiously optimistic, but, ultimately, it's Netflix's call," he said, as quoted by TV Line. Moreso, the director revealed that the plot and story for the second season is already in place.

"We are long-game people," Michael said. "We need to know where we're going, where it all pays off and what it means."

"Season 1 was an origin story, Season 2 has its own particular arc and so on," he added. "To spoil that here would not be in the best interests of the surprise we have in mind."

The much-awaited season 2 renewal for "Sense8" is something that worries fans. As known to the public, renewal of seasons for TV series doesn't usually take this long. Some even get renewed before their first season debuts. So the fact that the first series is already done and we've yet to see a renewal is something that is considered to be unconventional in the world of TV series.
