Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi breakup rumors may soon be a thing of the past. Ellen DeGeneres and Portia Di Rossi might be renewing their wedding vows.  Or they may not, as the tabloids never tire of reporting on troubles between the star of "Scandal" and the host of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

According to The National Enquirer, while DeGeneres and de Rossi circumnavigate rumors that they are hurtling toward a breakup, the two stars plan to renew their vows in a televised wedding of "epic proportions."

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia di Rossi got married at their home in Beverly Hills in 2008. Only 19 people showed up.

According to reports, Ellen DeGeneres believes a "big, gay wedding" on TV would be a huge hit. The comedian anticipates a TV audience of about 20 million viewers. DeGeneres is also planning how the wedding might get streamed on her Internet channel, "Ellentube."

According to Star Pulse, the 57-year old comedian and the host of "Ellen" is thinking about having a "big, gay wedding" on TV.

The celebrity couple has been the subject of divorce rumors since they got married and probably before.

"Ellen thinks a big gay wedding on TV would be a huge hit," a source told Star Pulse magazine.

"She believes that more than 20 million American viewers could tune in, with millions more overseas! She can also stream it on her Internet channel, 'Ellentube.'"

DeGeneres reportedly wants to use her fame to celebrate gay marriage now that it is recognized by the government.

According to Star Pulse, DeGeneres thinks that broadcasting the wedding ceremony on television would be a goldmine.

But there are still reports that DeGeneres and de Rossi have been fighting incessantly.

Recently, DeGeneres has also been rumored to be ready to walk away from her talk show when her current contract expires in 2017 in hopes of having a better chance to save the couple's union.

Other outlets say a big gay TV wedding would debunk Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi divorce rumors.

The alleged insider said the renewal of marriage vows could save Ellen and Portia from divorce.

Some sources say Portia De Rossi wants independence to develop ideas and brands. Other outlets say Ellen DeGeneres was too domineering and had a drinking problem.
