'Arslan: The Warriors Of Legend' Is An Upcoming Video Game With An Anime Twist

‘Arslan: The Warriors of Legend’ is getting brought to life in a video game.

Koei-Tecmo has just announced that ‘Arslan: The Warriors Of Legend,’ also a title of a manga and anime series, will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One early next year. There are also reports that a Playstation 3 version of the game will also be released but only in a digital format.

An announcement trailer was also released by Koei-Tecmo on their official Youtube.

It opens with a bird’s-eye view of the kingdom and moves on to introduce the different characters that will be playable in the game. There is Arslan, the crown prince of the Kingdom of Pars; Aryun, one of the finest warriors in the kingdom; Narsus, the secluded strategist; and Elam, Narsus’ young page.

The video then previews some of the battle scenarios and the characters using their skills during the fights.

The graphics of the video game looks very much like an anime but created with 3D graphics. According to VG24/7, the aesthetics of “Arslan” is attributed to the cel-shaded graphics made to emulate scenarios from the anime. It will also have a mix of characters from the ‘Warriors’ franchise.

For those who are new to the story of “Arslan,” according to Gamezone, “It tells the story of the young crown prince of Pars, Arslan, as he is forced out of his kingdom when his father, the king, is betrayed and defeated and his domain conquered. Arslan and his few companions must re-assemble an army and fight against overwhelming odds to regain his throne and liberate his kingdom.”
