This year has been a huge year for YG Entertainment group Big Bang, with several monthly releases since May.

But now that their comeback is coming to a close, fans are highly anticipating the official debut of another YG Entertainment group, iKON.

Recently, YG Entertainment Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk talked about upcoming plans for the group's new release, including their album release date. iKON will make their official debut this September.

"iKON will be making a debut with a new song on Sept 15. For a long time iKON has been devoting their energy trying to pick one out of many songs they have been working on," said Yang (via YG-Life).

Yang also expressed intentions for iKON to follow in the footsteps of their fellow lablemates, WINNER.

"iKON's end-of-year goal is winning the New Artist award. Last year WINNER received it, and it would be fantastic if iKON can get it this year," explained Yang.

It would appear that fans who watched iKON become a group on "Mix & Match." According to YG-Life, iKON was voted as the most anticipated artist of the year in a survey of 28 producers, executive producers, and music critics. iKON shared the top spot with EXID and IU.

For those who are for some reason worried about iKON's debut, Yang Hyun Suk assured audiences that the group will definitely satisfy those anticipating their new music.

"We know all eyes are on iKON, and they are also devoting all their energy on making the song perfect. The song to be unveiled in September will be able to satisfy the expectations," held Yang.

Given the success of all the previous rookie groups to be signed to YG Entertainment, one can be certain that iKON's debut will exceed all expectations.
