KCON 2015 Kicks Off In Los Angeles For 3-Day Hallyu Convention

Fans and Korean celebrities are flocking to Los Angeles this weekend for North America's biggest Hallyu convention.

KCON 2015 successfully kicked off at Staples Center and LA Convention Center in Los Angeles, California on July 31.

KCON is an annual convention that promotes Korean culture through various events. This year, KCON will hold M Countdown performances as well as cultural events prepared by tvN, Mnet, and OnStyle channels of Korea. Hallyu stars Kim Soo Hyun, Daniel Henney, and Son Ho Jun will also make appearances and heat up the convention.

tVN prepared many cultural events reflecting shows "Mr. Baek the Homemade Food Master," "Oh My Ghost," and "Three Meals a Day." People participating in the events can experience Korean culture by using millstones or carrying coffee beans with chopsticks.

OnStyle prepared beauty events reflecting their popular show, "Get It Beauty." It will teach Korean style makeup and discuss about Korean beauty products.

"We prepared a total of 127 different events. This includes performances by our celebrities and introduction of useful products made by small and medium sized companies in Korea. We sincerely hope that Korean culture fans can feel closer to Korea through KCON 2015," commented a source from KCON.
