Judge Judy Sued: The TV Litigator Says She 'Doesn't Owe A Cent,' Tells Claimant To 'Find A Job' In $500,000 Fine China Lawsuit

Judge Judy Sheindlin is being sued by a woman claiming the TV judge paid her just a tiny fraction of the value of $514,421 worth of Christofle fine china and flatware.

Judge Judy has been sued for allegedly paying only $50,815 for the valuable merchandise.

"I have not seen any complaint...however, I don't owe this lady a cent," Judge Judy told the Daily News Tuesday. "And if this 50-year-old woman would spend her time more productively at trying to find a job, instead of abusing the judicial system with frivolous lawsuits, we would all be a lot better off."

The trouble reportedly began when Judge Judy bought the expensive china off of her producer Randy Douthit, even though Douthit's wife Patrice Jones claims she knew his divorcing spouse had equal ownership of the property under California state law.

"As a former family law judge, [Judge Judy] knew that California is a community property state and that a spouse cannot sell community property without the written consent of both spouses and certainly not at 10 cents on the dollar," Jones's lawyer, Perry Wander, said.

After acquiring a court order for Judge Judy to relinquish the fine china, which Jones says Sheindlin has still been unwilling to do, Douthit's wife officially sued Judge Judy Sheindlin on Tuesday in Los Angeles court.

"[Judge Judy] Sheindlin was not a bona fide purchaser for value," the lawsuit states. "Sheindlin was willful and intended to cause injury to the plaintiff."

Douthit and Jones filed for a divorce in 2007 but it has not finalized it yet.

On Tuesday Jones sued Judge Judy for the return of the fine china and $500,000 in damages.

No word on whether Judge Wapner will come out of retirement to help rule on this one.
