There is just one month left until "Gangnam Style" Psy will be releasing his new album. His hit song, "Gangnam Style" was a huge hit last year as it hit over a billion views on YouTube. Due to his amazing success with this song, many are curious as to what he will bring out next. It is all up to the next song to see whether or not he is truly a 'world star' or just a one-hit wonder.

Back then, it took several years for a singer in the U.S. to become popular. Because of its big size, it takes awhile for someone to become known. Groups such as the Wonder Girls performed openings for big name artists in the states to get their name out there. The only downfall to this is that they would have to do this for a couple years to finally become known.

Now, due to the internet, fame can happen overnight. Living proof of this would be singers such as Justin Bieber and Psy. Although they have become an overnight success, it still takes some time for their name to be know internationally.

That is one of the reasons as to why the release of his new song, which was originally supposed to be last November, was pushed back until now. Because the "Gangnam Style" craze is still going on in other countries, Psy has been busy with activities and concerts overseas.

He is still at number 27 on the U.S. Billboard chart, showing his unending popularity.

Another tactic would be to sing his new song after his hit song, allowing his new song to become known as well.

When looking at the rising stars of 2012, number 1 was One Direction, 2 was Carly Rae Jepson and Psy at number 7. The person we need to focus on here is not Psy but Carly Rae Jepson.

Carly Rae Jepson suddenly became popular and ranked number 1 on the Billboard charts for 8 weeks. There could be many reasons for her unexpected success, but the main reason was because of Justin Bieber. Bieber continued to promote her song through his twitter and listened to the song many times. 

Although making a good song is important, becoming known to the public is also equally as important. Psy has been making songs that were accepted and liked by the public.

Psy currently is under School Boy records with Scooter Braun. He is also in the same agency as Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepson. It seems that Psy's new album could be another huge success as he as other top stars and a great agency to promote and support him.

It is no lie that Psy will succeed. However, how much would be considered succeeding? Some people believe that if he does not reach over 1 billion views and rank in the top 10 on Billboard again that he will not become a hit. In reality, Psy has already seen much more than success. For a foreign artist to even rank in the top 10 is already a big enough feat already.

However, it is true that many people still wish to see him rank number 1 on the Billboard charts. We will just have to wait and see what his new single will bring.
