Naver's recently released "V" app is taking the mobile world by storm, reaching 610,000 downloads across 170 nations only a day after its August 1 release.

The new app, created by South Korea's leading search portal, features both recorded episodes with idols and also allows celebrity app users to log in and stream live spontaneously.

The app has drawn in a huge global fan interest from all over the world, including Europe and the Americas. According to Korea Herald, international downloads accounted for almost 50 percent of the total downloads.

On August 4, Naver revealed the iOS version of the "V" app, allowing iPhone and iPad users access to the new K-pop streaming sensation.

Interest in the app has only increased with the number of big name idols who have already made their appearance. Winner and iKON made their long awaited return to the same broadcast on August first, drawing in over 120,000 views on the initial broadcast. The highlight video of their broadcast has been viewed over 680,000 times as well.

Big Bang also treated fans to a special live broadcast to bring in their last two MADE Series 'E' tracks "Let's Not Fall in Love" and GD&TOP's "Zutter." GD and T.O.P further surprised fans with an exclusive dance version of "Zutter" released a few hours afterwards.

Fans can look forward to future episodes with groups like SHINee, VIXX, Wonder Girls, KARA, and others. Additionally, any idol who uses the app can also make surprise broadcasts to treat their fans.

The "V" app will also soon be available to Chinese and Japanese users, as well.
