‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Massive Murder Plot To Take Place; Who’s The Suspect This Time Around?

"Days of Our Lives" spoilers reveal that the show's upcoming 50th anniversary special might not be joyous. The show's executives allegedly decided to incorporate a murder plot that would leave Salem in a tragic state.

Entertainment Weekly reported that the plot will take place at the end of summer and will last until the show's anniversary.

"In late August, an elaborate murder mystery plot kicks off that will see several of Salem's residents - and perhaps even some of the town's former, fan-favorite residents - meeting their demise," it said.

While the latest "Days of Our Lives" spoilers didn't give hints about the possible suspect, the network promised that the "huge reveal" related to the murder plot would take place during the show's anniversary week (November 9-13).

A few days ago, popular "Days of Our Lives" spoilers source Jason47 announced via Facebook that Serena (Melissa Archer) and Xander (Paul Telfer) will be exiting the show at the end of August. Could they be the first victims of the killing in Salem?

Other characters who will allegedly leave the series include Sonnie, Clyde, Paige, Daniel, and Aiden. Fans are speculating if they will also be victims of the new plot.

It isn't the first time for "Days of Our Lives" to have a murder plot. It can be remembered that several characters including Abe, Alice, Caroline, Jack, and Maggie were "murdered" by the "Salem Stalker" which turned out to be Marlena Evans. The characters, however, weren't really killed but merely stranded on an abandoned island created by Stefano.

It appears that the show is trying to explore new angles with the recent hiring of new writers. Soap Opera Network confirmed that the show's veteran writers were replaced by new writers namely Josh Griffith and Dena Higley.

The new writers are no strangers to soap opera as they have already worked for "The Young and the Restless" and "One Life to Live."

Part of the new writers' duties is to reportedly bring back the glory of the NBC soap.
