Super Junior Member Choi Siwon To Complete Mandatory Military Service As Conscripted Police Officer

Super Junior member and actor Choi Siwon has passed the exam to be a conscripted policeman.

Siwon will enlist in the South Korean military as a policeman in order to fulfill his mandatory service requirements. The Military Affairs Bureau will notify the pop star of his official enlistment date by mail within the next 30 days.

In the meantime, the 29-year-old is currently filming for the new MBC romantic comedy TV drama She Was Pretty, which is scheduled to begin airing on Sept. 16.

Siwon's agency, SM Entertainment, revealed in an earlier statement that the Super Junior member would be ready to serve once filming for the TV show wraps up.

"Choi will try his best to fulfill the duty as soon as he finishes the drama," said SM Entertainment, as reported by the K-Pop Herald.

Siwon will be the seventh member of Super Junior to serve in the military. Donghae, Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, and Ryeowook are the only members who have not yet announced their plan for the mandatory service.
