Rapper Cheetah Discusses 'Show Me The Money 4' Controversies During Radio Appearance

Cheetah, winner of Mnet's Unpretty Rapstar, has put in her two cents on the controversies filling the recent season of the network's other rap survival show, Show Me the Money 4.

Cheetah appeared on the August 6 broadcast of MBC FM4U's Sunny's FM Date. While on the show, the rapper expressed her thoughts on Show Me the Money 4 and the number of controversies the show has been involved with since it started airing on June 26.

"Show Me the Money has become controversial because of the lyrics. A lot of people in our country are exposed to provocative things so they want to experience more provocative things instead of something bland or drama like, so I think the show gets edited to be like that. I think it's also why rappers tend to write their lyrics that way," she said, according to a report by Newsen.

"But that's just hip hop," Cheetah continued. "Because it's rap it's not that crude. I think some just want more attention."

Radio show host Sunny from Girls' Generation then commented back saying, "Maybe the cast is deliberately stirring up controversy to get more attention."

"Frankly, since I've been on both Show Me the Money and Unpretty Rapstar and there I not enough time to deliberately try to create controversy. When you're on the show you are there to demonstrate your skills, so there's hardly time to do things like that," Cheetah responded.

Cheetah is the first winner of Mnet's spin-off rap competition program Unpretty Rapstar. She has recently made her comeback since winning the show with her addictive track "My Number."
