Lorde New Album Expected To Be Different From ‘Pure Heroine’; ‘Royals’ Singer Talks About Growing Up

Lorde is gearing up for a new album release and has recently claimed that her upcoming release would reveal a different side of her, which is believed to feature her maturity as a person as compared to her first record "Pure Heroine."

The "Tennis Court" singer talked about her new album recently in a Tumblr post, where she revealed her excitement for the upcoming record.

"I'm just getting into making the next body of work, which is very exciting and scary but SO VALIDATING (i also went to a wild beautiful fashawwn ball last night which maybe i'll elaborate on in another post)," the singer claimed in the post.

Furthermore, Lorde also revealed in a recent interview with BBC how different her upcoming release would be as compared to her first record, which would definitely focus on her life in the city and living a more fast-paced life.

"I wrote the last album about that world which was the suburb where I grew up and populated by my friends and people who were really familiar to me," Lorde said of her new album. "Now I'm in a different place every day and I'm with new people every day and it's a different vibe."

"We haven't got some planned out 'this is what it's going to sound like' ... I think we're just going to start writing and when it starts to feel right, we'll know that it's right. It's pretty simple really."

In the same interview, the 18-year-old musician also revealed how she is slowly but surely working on the tracks of the record and is just waiting for "something great" to come out.

"I don't know where the inspiration comes from for stuff. You work and at some point you feel you suck for the first 10 hours and in the last hour in the studio something great happens. You just never know when it's going to come."

With no release information as of now, the new album from Lorde is expected to come out next year.
