2NE1 member CL took the stage at the Mad Decent Block Party (MDBP) music festival at MCU Park in New York this past weekend along with Skrillex, Diplo, JACK U and rapper OG Maco.

She performed “Dirty Vibe” and “Doctor Pepper” wearing a black outfit and red hat and revealed her charismatic rap skills.

Last Friday, she also performed the same songs, along with her own solo song, “Mental Breakdown” at the MDBP Festival in Philadelphia.

CL will head to Toronto on August 29, San Francisco on September 11 and LA on September 19 and continue her overseas promotions.

Mad Decent Block Party is a summer music event that was crated by Diplo’s label Mad Decent. It will travel to 18 cities for a total of 26 shows around the US and Canada. Artists such as CL, T-Pain and Major Lazer will be making appearances throughout the event. The show began in Atlanta on July 31.

CL began preparing for her solo debut in the US last year and signed with Scooter Braun’s label, SB Records. This is the same label that worked with Psy for his US promotions.

Member Dara has been acting during their hiatus while Minzy has been traveling. Bom is currently taking a break from the celebrity scene after a scandal that arose last year.

2NE1’s latest album was “Crush,” released last year in February along with their best hits album release in Japan.

YG also revealed recently that Big Bang and Psy will be releasing music in September. Korean news site Kpop Herald also reported that CL had been filming music videos in the US and that she should be making an American debut soon.

SB Projects and YG Entertainment both have not revealed or confirmed a specific date regarding her debut.
