'A Series Of Unfortunate Events' Netflix Cast Set To Include Sophie Turner? Other Members Specualted!

The cast for the upcoming Netflix series, "A Series of Unfortunate Events" has been speculated by fans for quite some time now.

In an article published by Movie Pilot, the writer did a fan-made casting of the upcoming TV series.

For Violet Baudelaire's character, "Game of Thrones" actress Sophie Turner, was who the writer thought would do justice. As to Violet's brother, Klaus, "Ender's Game" star Asa Butterfield is reportedly a good choice.

Moreso, characters Mr. Poe, Lemony Snicket and the infamous Count Olaf, were also "casted" with actors Toby Jones, James D'Arcy and Peter Capaldi, respectively.

Since the article was published, some fans assumed that it was already the actual cast for Netflix's "A Series of Unfortunate Events," not minding the fact that it was the writer who did the faux-casting himself. To add to that, there is no official statement released from the producers yet about the cast.

While there is no word from the producers yet, Engadget reports that the novel's author, Daniel Handler, has released a statement about the upcoming series.

"After years of providing top-quality entertainment on demand, Netflix is risking its reputation and its success by associating itself with my dismaying and upsetting books," he said during a public event. After he uttered the words, the crowd reportedly cheered with glee.

As known to the public, the upcoming series stems from the original story by Handler. Released as a series of books, the story was previously adapted to the big screen and starred Jim Carrey as Count Olaf, Emily Browning as Violet Baudelaire and Liam Aiken as Klaus Baudelaire.

More cast-related releases surfaced previously, including a trailer, a poster, and most recently, a list of cast members for Netflix's "A Series of Unfortunate Events." None of which were addressed by the producers.
