Black Nut's Diss Battle With WINNER's Mino Draws Criticism In Latest 'Show Me The Money' Episode

Rapper Black Nut continues to make headlines for his actions on Mnet's rap competition program Show Me the Money 4.

Most recently, Black Nut is earning criticism for his behavior during his diss battle with WINNER's Song Mino. A report by My Daily sources the disapproval of Black Nut's performance to the rapper's seeming lack of manners towards Mino.  At one point Black Nut crawled on his hands and knees and bumped his head against Mino's leg like a dog, referencing the lyrics in Mino's solo release "I'm Him."

However, more upsetting to the show's producer-judge teams was when Black But pulled out a pillow and pretended to sleep during Mino's performance.

Since Black Nut is known for his performance in diss battles, many were upset to see him make a spectacle of the battle rather than use it to showcase his abilities. "I thought this battle was made for Black Nut, but he was below expectations," judge Jay Park commented, as translated by Soompi.

Moreover, the show's other contestants were upset by how Black Nut's actions drew attention away from Mino's raps. "Doing something that draws attention isn't right," contestant Lil Boi shared in the episode. He even called Black Nut's actions "winning dirty."

This event comes after the controversial initial elimination of Black Nut over Phantom's Hanhae, which also affected this diss battle since it put Mino at a disadvantage against Black Nut who had much longer to prepare for the competition round.

Currently, the Korean Communications Standards Commission brought a fine against the program for failing to meet broadcast standards. Luckily, however, the diss battle issue seems to stay within the show unlike previous controversies.
