2NE1's 'Crush,' Taeyang's 'RISE,' And WINNER's '2014 S/S' won Red Dot Design awards this year for their excellence in communication design, reports Koreaboo.

YG Entertainment's YG Family Concert in Seoul Live CD and a collaboration project with Woori Bank were also given awards.

This makes a total of five projects from YG Entertainment that were awarded the Communication Design award by Red Dot Design Awards, a prestigious and annual competition that determines the best in design concepts worldwide.

Specimens of the projects will be showcased at the Red Dot Museum in Essen, Germany.

2NE1's Crush was praised for its unique album design, which came in either color or black and white.

2NE1 member Dara was ecstatic about the award, posting about it on Instagram on August 10.

Big Bang member and solo artist Taeyang also expressed delight at the award because of his heavy contributions to the final design. He also expressed gratitude for the YG team that helped produce his second solo album.

"Not only the full package for my second album 'Rise', but the Japanese version, DVD, and LP all received an award! It is more meaningful because a lot of the design ideas came directly from me. Thank you to the YG design team who worked so hard to create a great album!" said Taeyang on an Instagram post on August 10.

For its part, WINNER's debut album earned the distinction for being the first-ever artist to debut with a fashion brand concept.

Congratulations to YG Entertainment and its artists!
