YG Entertainment Releases Mysterious Teaser Image Ahead Of iKON Debut And Psy Comeback

The question on everybody's lips is "Who's next?"

YG Entertainment, one of South Korea's most prominent entertainment agencies, is gearing up for something, without telling anybody what that is exactly. A simple black and white picture, featuring nothing but a black, incomplete rectangle, was shared on the official Facebook page of the company August 13.

The image comes ahead of several highly anticipated releases from the Korean entertainment agency, including music from established Korean acts like Big Bang and Psy and the debut of iKON, a new male idol group.

The entertainment agency offered no explanation for the picture.

YG Entertainment previously released teaser images without clarifying which artist the teasers were in regards to, often making use of the question "who's next?"

There are no music releases from YG Entertainment announced for the rest of August, leading to confusion on YG's Facebook page as fans of the label guess which artist is being promoted by the teaser.

The company confirmed earlier this month that at least three YG Entertainment acts - iKON, Psy, and Big Bang - will appear on the K-pop scene in September. Big Bang will release the finale of multi-month project album, "MADE," on the first of the month. Meanwhile, iKON will debut on September 15, and Psy will round out the month with brand new music.
