Lil Wayne Released From Cedars-Sinai Hospital In West Hollywood After Allegedly Suffering Seizures Caused By A Drug Overdose [VIDEO]

Rapper Lil Wayne was released from West Hollywood, Calif. hospital Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Monday night after spending several days in intensive care after an apparent drug overdose, according to TMZ.

Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., who was moved out of the hospital's intensive care unit earlier in the day, after being brought there on Wednesday.

Lil Wayne reportedly had to have his stomach pumped three times after the 30-year-old New Orleans rapper suffered seizures allegedly brought on by the overdose.

Wayne's Young Money associate Mack Maine tweeted on Monday night that the rapper had left the hospital where he spent the last week.

"God is great," he wrote.

Wayne took to Twitter on Friday to reassure his over 10.5 million followers.

"I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love," he wrote.

Several concerned fans sent Lil Wayne messages on Twitter.

"Man [Lil Wayne] you need to leave those drugs alone," tweeted DeLorean.

"I hope [Lil Wayne] is ok," wrote Twitter user @Nonamalone313. "My heart was pounding when I heard he was in a coma."

Rapper Birdman paid Lil Wayne a visit at the hospital Friday.

Wayne's mentor, who famously gave the rapper a million dollars for his 26th birthday, says he considers Weezy to be his son.

"My son is feelin good. Will be home real soon," Birdman tweeted after the visit.

Other famous visitors in Lil Wayne's hospital room over the past week include actor-turned-rapper Drake and Los Angeles Clipper Chris Paul.
