SM Entertainment Responds To Reports Of October Enlistment Date For Super Junior's Donghae

SM Entertainment has stepped forward for clarification amidst rumors of Super Junior member Donghae's military enlistment.

A report by Sports DongA on August 13 announced that Donghae will be enlisting for his mandatory active military service on October 15, his birthday. "Though we know fans want to come, Donghae wishes to enlist quietly," one official was reported to say in the article.

However, later that day, MBN Star released another report containing SM Entertainment's response to the Sports DongA report. "Donghae will serve as a policeman and has passed the final exam for police conscription. However, he has not received a notification of enlistment with his start date," SM Entertainment officials shared with MBN Star.

On May 12, it was revealed that Donghae successfully passed the exam to serve as a policeman for his mandatory military service. Additionally, Donghae's fellow member Siwon also completed the same exam earlier this month and will also be fulfilling his mandatory military service as a policeman. Siwon and Donghae are the next two members projected to enter into the military following members Shindong and Sungmin who enlisted earlier this year.

Meanwhile, member Yesung has recently finished his military service and returned to join Super Junior's summer activities for "Devil." The group also recently appeared as headliners for KCON 2015 LA.
