Super Junior Sungmin Casted for Japan Musical, 'Summer Snow'

Group Super Junior member Sungmin has been casted for the Japanese musical, 'Summer Snow'.

Sungmin plays the lead role of a character who loses his parents in an accent and has to take care of his 2 younger siblings. He has a warm-hearted personality as he strives to find happiness.

Supernova Sungje and FTISLAND Song Seung Hyun have also been casted for the lead role.

The musical, 'Summer Snow', aired in Japan on TBS in 2000 and gained much attention. The family love that was revealed in the drama touched the hearts of many. This drama, at that time, won the Japan Academy Best Drama Award and was recognized for its both cinematic quality and production.

Sungmin has also been busy in Japan with Super Junior promotions and has gained much popularity. He has previously acted in other musicals such as 'Jack the Ripper' and 'Hong Gil Dong' as well and has gained a good reputation.

He has been recognized by many people on his acting skills and his fan base has increased as well.

On the other hand, 'Summer Snow' will begin in Japan this April starting in Osaka.

Sungmin joined Super Junior in 2005 and made his debut with their single, 'Twins (Knock Out)'.

He later debuted in Super Junior-T, which was a trot group in 2007. Starting in 2010, he began his career as a musical actor with his first musical, 'Hong Gil Dong'. In 2011, he joined the sub group Super Junior-M and performed overseas.

Last year, he went back to his musical path and took on his role in the musical, 'Jack the Ripper'. 

This year, he made a comeback with Super Junior-M with their new single, Break Down. The sub group will also be promoting in China as well.
