Fans Remember Ladies' Code Member RiSe On Her Birthday

Fans remember a beloved K-pop star on her birthday with less than a month before the anniversary of her tragic passing.

On August 16, fans of the deceased K-pop idol Kwon RiSe took to social media to celebrate what would have been the singer's 24 birthday. Kwon, a member of Ladies' Code, was born on August 16, 1991, and passed away after a car accident on September 7, 2014 that took her life and that of fellow Ladies' Code member EunB.

Korean and international fans of RiSe flooded Ladies' Code's official social media with well wishes and loving messages.

"Happy birthday sweet RiSe," wrote Antony Mellone. "I will never forget you. And I will never forget you too, sweet EunB. Dear Ashley, Sojung, and Zuny. I will always be next to you for any support."

Kwon RiSe was born in Japan in 1991, and was a fourth-generation Korean Japanese. She was a model and participated in Miss Korea 2009 prior to appearing on "Star Audition The Great Birth" in 2011, after which she began training to be a singer.

"Happy birthday to [our] angel RiSe," wrote Kate Reopening. "I know that EunB and your beloved ones that have passed away will keep you company on this day in heaven. Your members are working really hard on making a tribute concert for you and EunB. Lavelyz [Ladies' Code's fans] are still out here and have not forgotten."

The three surviving members of Ladies' Code- Ashley, Sojung, and Zuny- reportedly returned to their dorms and have begun to train gain but there are no definite comeback plans.

Polaris Entertainment, Ladies' Code's agency, will hold a memorial concert "I'm Fine Thank You" in honor of RiSe and EunB on August 22 in Tokyo.

The concert's title comes from one of Ladies' Code song's, which was popularized as a memorial song dedicated to EunB and RiSe. A music video of the song was released posthumously with messages from RiSe and EunB.
