WINNER Rapper Song Mino Hints At Group's Upcoming New Album

Male K-Pop group WINNER raised expectations for their latest album during a webcast on August 17.

WINNER, YG Entertainment's boy band that entered the K-pop world in 2014, participated in a Naver V App livestream on Monday, where the members discussed what they were up to and their plans for the future. One member of WINNER, Song Mino, discussed the group's upcoming release.

"We are working really hard on our new songs," Song told fans during the live broadcast. "Check out our new album."

He gave no further details regarding the album or its release date.

WINNER recently celebrated its first anniversary, on August 12. It is a five member idol group that debuted with the songs "Empty" and "Color Ring" from the album "2014 S/S." WINNER released a Japanese version of the album the following month.

Song is currently appearing on the rap competition show, "Show Me The Money 4." Other members have participated in a variety of activities, including drama filming. WINNER told fans during the broadcast that the members were shooting a web drama.

Naver V is a new mobile app through which Korean celebrities can communicate with their fans via live broadcasts. Many K-pop idols have partaken in livestreams, while others are scheduled to do so in the near future.

WINNER's appearance on Naver V comes ahead of promotional activities from multiple YG Entertainment acts in September, including Psy, Big Bang, and the yet-to-debut idol group iKON.

YG Entertainment has not announced comeback plans for WINNER, but the entertainment agency released a mysterious image teaser earlier this month.
