Terrence Howard and Mira Pak have just added themselves to the growing list if divorced couples this year. The fact came up when the "Empire" star testified in court against ex-wife Michelle Ghent where it was shared he was still hung up on her while already married to Pak.

As first revealed by New York Daily News, documents acquired by the website revealed the divorce proceedings began in February and was granted last month. It also stated that the couple have been separated since August 2014 and tried to fix their marriage but failed.

The split was revealed during a hearing for the "Empire" star's settlement with ex-wife Michelle Ghent who reportedly blackmailed him in 2012 as reported by Just Jared. The actor is trying to overturn the settlement with claims of extortion.

During the hearing, according to Us Weekly, the judge apparently referred to Mira Pak as the actor's ex-wife. A call recording of Terrence Howard in October 2013 was also played during the hearing. He apparently said in the recording that he was still in love with Ghent although he was already married then with Pak.

"I will never love someone like I loved you," the actor told Ghent in a phone call then. "You are my dream of all time."

Howard and Pak welcomed their first child just last May. They got married in Canada in Oct. 2013 but decided to separate and file for divorce barely a year later. No sign of the falling out of their marriage can be seen on the "Empire" stars social media accounts though.  On July 2, he even posted on Twitter to clarify to everyone his wife's name.

"Let's make this clear," Terrence Howard said about Pak while their divorce proceedings where apparently already rolling. "My wife's name is "MIRA" not Miranda and no Mira is not short for Miranda, lol!"
