Woollim Entertainment To Pursue Legal Action Against TASTY Over Unauthorized Chinese Promotions

The situation between Woollim Entertainment and the twin singer duo TASTY continues.

On August 19, CBS reported the Woollim Entertainment will pursue legal action against the two singers. Though TASTY have begun their own promotions in China, the two are still under contract with Woollim Entertainment. "TASTY is still bound by a valid, exclusive contract and their Chinese activities and music releases are clear contract violations," Woollim officials stated in the CBS report. "We still are confirming their Chinese activities. We are also preparing to pursue legal action."

Back in July, the Chinese twins made an announcement on their Chinese social media account Weibo that they will no longer be promoting in Korea. Woollim Entertainment quickly replied to the social media post expressing their confusion at the situation.

Since then, TASTY has revealed conversations between themselves and their company over various social media platforms insisting that they tried to contact Woollim Entertainment but their efforts proved fruitless. Woollim still argued against this and stated that any agreement to cancel TASTY's contract was one sided. Woollim also expressed their wishes to talk to the members of TASTY directly, rather than through SNS, which they maintain even as they begin to pursue legal action.

TASTY is made up of twins Jung Daeryong and Jung Soryong who debuted under Woollim Entertainment in 2012.
