Yeo Jin Goo On Preparing For His Upcoming Role In Korean War Flick 'The Long Way Home'

Yeo Jin Goo posed in the forest for the September issue of Vogue. The actor got in tune with nature while modeling camouflage pants, knit turtlenecks, sleeveless t-shirts and worker boots by Valentino, Eleven Paris and Gucci, to name a few brands.

His affordable footwear included a pair of Dr. Martens "939 Smooth" boots. The shoes have silver eyelets, can be yours HERE and can be seen below in greater detail.

During the interview, the star revealed how he prepared for his role in the film The Long Way Home. "This project was very unique to me," he stated. "The director [Cheon Sung Il] didn't tell me to analyze my character. He told me, 'Do as you please.' There were no set rules for this project, which confused me."

The film takes place during the Korean War in 1953. The story revolves around a young North Korean solider, played by Yeo, and a middle-aged South Korean soldier, played by Sol Kyung Gu, who meet at the Western Front and form an unlikely friendship.

Yeo has a lot of passion for the project and even took satoori (regional dialect) lessons. "If I focused on getting my dialect right, I thought I would forget the atmosphere of the film," he explained. "I was quite stuck on what to do."

The Long Way Home will be released in theaters in mid September.
