Although Mellie was booted out of the White House, she still has some intense feelings for President Fitz as team OPA regroups vs. Rowan Pope in the latest spoilers for "Scandal" season 5.

Bellamy Young dished some spoilers to TVLine on the fate of Mellie.

"It should be the best time in the world - she got her senate seat! - but it's like the worst, because Fitz kicked her out. And he was so cold when he did it," she said. "She knows in her heart that Fitz has Olivia on speed dial as the door is shutting behind her."

She also said that Mellie will find her bearings after the setback, which was nothing like the pain when she lost her child.

"She's having to regroup, but she's sort of by herself completely, because everyone is alienated at this point. She's never going to give up without a fight - I mean, shes Mellie! - but a lot of options are no longer open to her," Bellamy Young added.

The problem, however, is Mellie still has some feelings for Fitz.

"If she didn't love him, that would be the better plan," the actress added. "She hates herself for loving him, but she loves him! Oh, her life would be so much simpler if she didn't! But she does."

Meanwhile, TVLine reported more spoilers for "Scandal" season 5 as it quoted showrunner Shonda Rimes as confirming that Olivia Pope and Associates will regroup to fight back another day.

"The Gladiators did gladiate," she said."But they gladiated on a different scale and a different level. And the Gladiators scattered."

When season 4 returned, Abby is no longer a gladiator and Harrison is already dead, which leaves two Gladiators, Huck and Quinn along with Olivia Pope, to go against Rowan Pope.
