Nickelodeon’s K-Pop-Inspired Teen Comedy ‘Make It Pop’ Premieres In Asia On August 31

Nickelodeon has begun the final countdown for Make It Pop which premieres across Asia in less than a week on August 31.

The musical teen comedy premiered in the U.S. and Canada this past April with 20 episodes and announced it had been renewed for a second season in May.

Make It Pop is described as live-action daily scripted series that will portray the lives of three girls - "an aspiring diva, a fashionista and a bookworm" - that become friends and form a K-Pop-inspired band.

Former Soulshop Entertainment artist Megan Lee stars in the show as one of the three band members, and had landed in hot water for allegedly breaking her five-year contract with the agency.

The show will premiere on the Nickelodeon channel next Monday at 5:00 PM for Thailand and WIB (Waktu Indonesia Barat or the Western Indonesian time zone); 6:00 PM for Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore; and 6:30 PM for Philippines.

A press release from the Viacom International Media Networks revealed that during the show's initial run, episodes will be made available for online viewing from Friday night to Monday morning after the episode is shown.

"Viewers can re-watch their favorite episodes, or catch up on any episodes they might have missed during the week," said Viacom.

Fans can also visit the Make It Pop website to access related show content such as original music videos, sing-a-long videos, a how to dance video and a quiz game.
