LA Lakers Trade Rumors: DeMarcus Cousins Back On Team's Radar In Exchange For Roy Hibbert?

Will DeMarcus Cousins trade rumors ever come to stop? Just when everything is starting to cool down, rumors once again arise and now, the LA Lakers are rumored to be resuming their pursuit of the center.

A few weeks ago, B/R's Howard Beck started trade rumors that Carmelo Anthony, Joe Johnson, and DeMarcus Cousins are the stars that will be moved within the next season.

"Look, again, Sacramento I think wants to hold onto him," wrote Bleacher Report's Howard Beck. "Certainly, owner Vivek Ranadive absolutely wants to hold onto DeMarcus Cousins. But I've been told that if you polled the rest of the organization, the vast majority are in favor of trading DeMarcus Cousins and that would include, though he denies it, coach George Karl. ... It certainly has all the makings of a doomed partnership there."

Since the off-season began, the Los Angeles Lakers were the heavy favorite to land Cousins in exchange for the No. 2 pick, Julius Randle, and Jordan Clarkson. However, it looks like the Lakers have yet to give up the pursuit of Cousins according to Lakers Nation.

"A blockbuster trade with the Kings for Cousins isn't beyond the possibility, but it may be a stretch, especially if Roy Hibbert proves to be the perfect fit in Los Angeles early on. The trade rumors surrounding Cousins will almost certainly continue unless the Kings show they've turned things around in the first two months of the season."

Should Hibbert be the centerpiece of the deal for the Sacramento Kings, they will demand more than that as Cousins is deemed as one of the best, if not, the best center in the league today.
