Girl group Girls' Generation ranked first place on the American Billboard World Album Chart with their fifth album Lion Heart.

"Girls' Generation is the sixth group to rank first place on the world album chart more than twice. There are total of six teams to have done that on the world album chart and four of them are from SM Entertainment: Girls' Generation, Taetiseo, SHINee, and EXO," stated a representative of Billboard on Wednesday.

Girls' Generation recently released their album Lion Heart and is currently actively promoting their double title songs.
