CL's Upcoming Music Video Will Involve Trampoline Acrobatics

While 2NE1 frontwoman Lee "CL" Chaerin's American debut date is still up in the air, we do know a little bit more about her recent music video shoots.

Earlier in August, CL joined Mad Decent Block Party (MDBP) in Brooklyn, New York alongside performers like Skrillex, Diplo and OG Maco. Founded by Diplo's record label Mad Decent, the concert series will travel to Toronto, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and CL will reportedly perform at these stops as well.

But according to recent Instagram posts of local New York talents, CL also filmed at least one music video in Brooklyn during this trip.

One example of this is an Instagram post by trampwall acrobat artist Sam Softich, who confirmed his involvement in CL's music video filming.

"Had a great day in Brooklyn filming a little trampwall for a music video," wrote Softich. Stay tuned for the video and more pictures!"

A photo featuring Softich and CL was uploaded by photographer Carey Bradshaw on Instagram, although it was later taken down. YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk also uploaded a behind-the-scenes photo with the 2NE1 rapper during her music video shoot.

Earlier in the month, CL's Korean record label YG Entertainment reportedly confirmed that the rapper would film two music videos in August. Another report by OSEN also suggested her debut would occur in September.

One of the two music videos could be a track produced by American DJ-producer Diplo, who previewed two of their collaboration singles during an interview with Time magazine. The first song is called "Birthday" and includes Korean verses. The other, "One," is described as "real pop, teenage-graduation kind of fun kid record."

"I think CL's doing it the right way because she's coming through an underground channel," said Diplo. "As opposed to just coming with one big record, do talk shows and then people forget about her, she's developing and gaining fans from the ground up."
