'Star Wars' Samurai Figurine From Bandai Have Just Been Released, The Galaxy Far, Far Away Has Gotten A Edo Style Makeover

"Star Wars" Samurai figurines are too perfect for words.

The “Star Wars” franchise is probably one of the most successful franchises in history. It may probably be because of the mind-blowing creativity by George Lucas and his team, but the films have made its mark in pop culture and have continued to expand its fanbase at present.

The expansion of the epic space drama began with video games and then went on to animated series. However, the moneymaker is the exclusive merchandise that retailers create to honor the films.

Retailers are usually given the freedom to do what they want with the material that is made available to them via the films as long as it follows the general essence of the characters and such. Sometimes there are limited editions that are created for a specific market of avid memorabilia and merchandise collectors.

According to io9, Bandai just came out with “Star Wars” samurai figurines that are part of Banda’s “Movie Realisation” line. The armor of the characters have gone way back into the Edo times in Japan where their once sleek and futuristic garb have become nostalgic and detailed samurai armor.

The line has expanded with the additions of Sandtroopers, Royal Guards and even Boba Fett. All of the armor has been reimagined back in time where katanas and flintlocks were the weapons of choice as compared to blasters and light sabers. Even if the armor has been reimagined the colors remain the same, from iconic reds of the Akonaze Royal Guard to the Ashigaru Sandtrooper and the elegant Ronin Boba Fett.

These “Star Wars” samurai figurines are available on Big Bad Boy Store. The entire line of figurines stand 7-inches tall with the newest additions Boba Fett and the Sandtrooper at $89.99, the Stormtrooper at $79.99 and the sold out Samurai Darth Vader at $119.99.
