Prison Break Season 5 Is Pushing Through! Official Statement Released By Fox!

The much-anticipated season 5 of hit series, "Prison Break," is pushing through, reports say.

Entertainment Weekly published an article that confirmed the reports.

According to the site, Dana Walden and Gary Newman, who are decision makers at Fox, released a statement themselves.

They also confirmed the return of Wentworth Miller along with Dominic Purcell.

"I would describe it as a bit of a sequel, it picks up the characters several years after we left them in the last season of the show," Walden said.

"The brothers will be back," he added. "Some of the iconic characters from that show will be back. It definitely will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series and for a new audience... It'll start after where we left the Scofields in the final season."

To add to this news about Prison Break season 5, Walden also addressed the final episode of the show's previous season, caliming that they will not completely ignore the events, but will reveal a twist to introduce the characters back.

"I don't think he's going to completely ignore what happened in that episode, but what he pitched to us was a very logical and believable explanation in the world of 'Prison Break' for why are character's alive and still moving around the world," Walden said.

"He had a very detailed incredible story for why these characters become relevant again and why they're back."

Since the statement was released, fans of the series have been celebrating its return. According to them, the initial thought of having the series gone forever was too painful for them to deal with and now that a new season is confirmed, their interests for the show have been reviltalized.

As to its release date, the producers behind "Prison Break" season 5 have yet to announce it, but will be teasing about the series in the coming months.
