According to Kookmin Ilbo, since the prices of the hairpins are inexpensive they have become immensely popular amongst young people; though, now it seems like everyone from children to grandparents are sporting the new accessories.

While some Korean netizens have shared their surprise and disgust over the new hairpin trend, translated by Netizenbuzz, G-Dragon fans have nothing but good things to say to the idol. In their comments on his photo, many are complimenting his new accessories and calling it cute.

It's likely that G-Dragon picked up on the trend since Big Bang recently finished the Chinese leg of their MADE World Tour. The boys put on fifteen shows in eleven cities, from the end of May until the end of August. Seeing G-Dragon share his enthusiasm for the new Chinese trend only adds to the good energy the group and their fans feel after the series of shows.
