Global Icon Add 3 New Members Ahead Of Comeback

Korean girl group Global Icon (or GI) will finally be returning after their two-year hiatus!

On August 31, the girl group revealed their group teaser image for "Round and Round" through their official Facebook page. Prior to the group image, GI also introduced fans to their three new members Dokyung, Jiamin, and Heeso through individual teaser images showcasing the new girls' cute and vibrant personalities.

GI's latest teaser showcases a bright and colorful style as the girls pose in a pink hair salon. This latest image stands in stark contrast to GI's previous looks and concepts. Debuting in 2013, the girls sported a tough and boyish look with the aim of countering the more feminine groups that dominated the K-pop industry.  Now it seems the girls will be trying out a more girly style like the ones they were set to counteract in the beginning of their careers.

Since their debut with "Beatles" GI has had two other comebacks with "Because of You" and "Giyeuk" prior to going on hiatus. In 2014 the group saw major member changes as Aram, HaYun, and OneKet left the group.

In a report by Herald Pop it was revealed that OneKet and Aram both filed contract termination suits against their label, Simtong Entertainment, claiming poor management. Simtong responded saying the girls had breached their contracts. Since then, the group has been inactive up until this return with "Round and Round."

Still, with three new girls on the roster and an entirely new image to present many fans are eager to see what GI's return will be like.
