Jimmy Butler Eyeing On Chicago Bulls Teammate Derrick Rose's Point Guard Position?

NBA's most improved player Jimmy Butler thinks that he can do as good a job the that the former MVP and Chicago Bulls teammate has been doing.

In an interview with Sam Smith for Bulls.com, as shared by Sports Illustrated, 6-7 Jimmy Butler apparently thinks that he can man the point, which if true would be a blessing for the Chicago Bulls as former MVP Derrick Rose has been plagued with injuries.

Jimmy Butler won the NBA's most improved player during the 2014-2015 season while playing as shooting guard and small forward for the Chicago Bulls, while averaging 20 points on 46.2% shooting, 5.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists a game.

"I think I am a point guard," he said. "So I've done a heck of a lot of ball screen work, ball handling, getting into the paint and still handling, floaters, all that stuff point guards do. If I get a chance, high pick and roll more."

On his goals this season, "I want some triple doubles. I've got to get my handle right so I can pass and get it to guys where they can make shots. I told Fred. You ask what position I play, I say point guard."

Multiple rumors claimed that there was tension between Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler over leadership of the Chicago Bulls.

The 6-3 point guard, who won MVP in 2011, has been plagued with injuries that sidelined him for a good chunk of the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 season.

But in an interview with ESPN, the Chicago Bulls forward denied the rumors about having issues with Derrick Rose.

"I think he's always been supportive of me being aggressive, especially on offense. We all know that I'll be the aggressor on defense. So from what I can tell, the guy's always been in my corner," Jimmy Butler said.

The Chiacago Bulls player added, "I don't think we have any beef or whatever you want to call it. I think we just want to win. We didn't win, so now [people say] we're beefing, now we have a problem with each other, and I don't think that's the case."
