Maria Sharapova Withdraws From US Open 2015 Because Of Boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov And Leg Injury?

Maria Sharapova has gone through breakup and leg injury pre US Open 2015. So it’s not entire surprising that the world number 2 decided to pull out from the tournament.

This means that she is leaving Serena Williams free to accomplish her destiny at this year’s US Open.

According to New York Times, “Maria Sharapova, the 2006 U.S. Open champion, withdrew from the Open on Sunday, citing a leg injury.”

The article continues, “Sharapova, a five-time major winner, has not played since her semifinal loss at Wimbledon in July against Serena Williams, also withdrawing from recent tournaments in Toronto and Cincinnati… she said in Cincinnati that she had aggravated the injury shortly before traveling to Canada for her first hardcourt event.

Before this announcement, it looked like Maria Sharapova was not letting her injury, let alone her ex boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov, let her down. But it looks like she isn’t invincible from mortality.

To save herself, the world number 2 also pulled out from the CIncinnati Masters.

According to the Guardian, “Maria Sharapova, struggling with a right leg strain less than a fortnight before the start of the US Open, withdrew from the Cincinnati Masters on Tuesday night. She was joined on the sick list by Venus Williams, who has a virus.”

At least without Grigor Dimitrov, Maria Sharapova will be able to concentrate on healing her injury before the US Open 2015 starts in less than two weeks’ time.

To distract herself, she also has been getting sexy on Instagram after the breakup, showing her ex Grigor Dimitrov what exactly he is missing out on.

Grigor Dimitrov recently has been under fire for not being able to keep up with her string of successes.
