Houston Rockets Trade Rumors: Suns Inching Closer To Landing Terrence Jones For Markieff Morris?

The drama between the Phoenix Suns and forward Markieff Morris keeps on dragging on but it looks like the Suns management has finally found a solution.

In a report by Franchise Herald, the Suns are negotiating with the Houston Rockets in a possible straight swap between Markieff Morris and young forward Terrence Jones.

"Reports are out that the Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets are close in reaching an agreement to swap young power forwards Markieff Morris and Terrence Jones in a one-on-one move with the league's salary cap and luxury tax rules as the only alleged hindrances in getting the deal done," as stated in the website.

"The two teams were said to be currently working their way around the cap and tax threshold and could possibly include a third team in the transaction."

The website further added that despite not wanting to part ways with Morris, having a player with a very low morale will never work out. The Suns also admits that they will be losing a very valuable asset as he is arguably one of their best players in the line-up.

"The Suns knew that they have nothing more to gain in trying to keep Morris in Phoenix, even if he is arguably the best player in their current lineup. Having an unhappy player is worse than developing a raw rookie, but still management would like to maximize what they could get in return for the 25-year-old stretch four."

This was seconded by a report by Yibada, indicating that the Rockets and the Suns are inching closer to a Terrence Jones for Markieff Morris swap.

Will this be a fair deal for both sides? Will Terrence Jones fit in to the Suns roster while Markieff blending in with James Harden and company? Stay tuned.
