"Amazing Spider-Man" stars Emma Stone and boyfriend Andrew Garfield proved that their relationship is still strong as they were snapped eating a romantic lunch in Los Angeles on Sunday.

E! News cited that it was a rare outing for the couple as it was only the second time they were spotted together "all summer."

"The Spider-man star, who turned 32 just ten days ago, wore sandals with loose fitting green trousers, with a very hippy button-down blue, flower-patterned shirt," said Daily Mail. "His scraggly facial scruff continues to look half-committed, while his long unkempt hair looks set to reach his shoulders soon."

Emma Stone, meanwhile, wore white shorts and green jacket over a black shirt. Just like her beau, the 26-year-old actress also wore a pair of sandals.

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield rumored to have split when they weren't spotted for a long time earlier this year. It turned out that he was filming on location with Martin Scorcese for "Silence," which was based on the novel of the same name by Jay Cocks.

The synposis reads, "In the seventeenth century, two Jesuit priests face violence and persecution when they travel to Japan to locate their mentor and to spread the gospel of Christianity."

Back in April, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were reported to be on break, and they opted to neither deny or confirm the rumors. However, the "Aloha" actress was snapped carrying a bag with her boyfriend's name in it.

Vanity Fair noted that Emma Stone and boyfriend Andrew Garfield's latest sightings only added to the mystery of their relationship.

"Two months ago, just when we thought we were in for reports that Stone was seen out on a date with Chris Pine, or whoever, Garfield and Stone ... were seen grocery shopping in Santa Monica," the article said.

"After their grocery expedition, they weren't seen together again for two months, confounding a universe of nervous, anxious Stonefield fans."
