‘Clash of Kings' On Its Way To Being the Next 'Game of War'; Clash of Kings Hit Top 5 Games In July 2015 [VIDEO]

'Clash of Kings' is being compared to the popular gaming app Game of War' and we here at KpopStarz believe it is largely due to the appearance of Hani of the South Korean girl group EXID. The K-pop singer appnotized gamers to help Clash of Kings come in at number 5 in worldwide App Annie Index for games July 2015.

Base building game Clash of Kings, which has players construct kingdoms to vie for dominance against one another online in real time., was downloaded over 65 million times worldwide as of July 2015.

The top 5 -grossing mobile game in the world tapped South Korean idol singer and television personality Hani for several spots on television in South Korea.

Hani, better known as a member of the South Korean girl group EXID, is seen in a fantasy chainmail on a futuristic foreign planet background in her new commercial for the videogame Clash of Kings. Complete with a knight's outfit, Hani wears armor and yields a sword, allowing her to blend right into the theme of the game.

Hani is role-playing as one of the fighters that go into battle in order to bring glory for their kingdom.

Clash of Kings has become one of the largest and most revenue grossing mobile app games in the world, according to App Annie Intelligence. Clash of Kings was ranked #5 in overall games and #3 in strategy games by Google Play for revenue in July 2015.

Since its launch in August 2014, Clash of Kings climbed Google Play's revenue grossing charts and grabbed the #5 spot worldwide in July. Clash of Kings users credit its graphics as well as in-game sociality and ease of play.

Elex also credits its TV ad campaigns, celebrity endorsement and creative events it held in major cities such as New York, London, Tokyo, Moscow, Berlin and Seoul. Kpopstarz still says that's because of Hani of the South Korean girl group EXID.

Clash of Kings is more popular in the United States, Taiwan, South Korea, Russia and Japan, snatching some top spots from similar games, such as Clash of Clans and Game of War. In daily Google Play revenue, Clash of Kings held on to the top spot in Russia while it saw increasing success in Japan.

According to App Annie, "the game dominated in Russia, holding its position as the top grossing Google Play app for most of July. In Japan, it steadily climbed the daily ranks throughout the month. Overall, Clash of King's global ascendance puts it hot on the tails of mobile's biggest strategy games like Game of War - Fire Age, which ranked #4 by Google Play revenue for the period."

Clash of Kings is a free-to-play real-time strategy game released last year on Android and iOS, and it has been downloaded over 60 million times worldwide.

Clash of Kings celebrated its one-year anniversary by offering free celebration gifts for a whole week.
