Supernova's Latest Japanese Album Tops Oricon Chart Upon Release

Supernova's recently released Japanese album is topping on Oricon's Daily Chart.

According to Japan's largest music site, Supernova's latest album 7IRO ranked number one on Wednesday, Sept. 9 upon release.

The album sold a total of 21,909 copies within the first 24 hours. 7IRO contains a total of 12 tracks.

Supernova have focused their promotions on Japan in recent years, building a significant fan base in the country. The group's last release in South Korea was in April 2012, when they released the EP Stupid Love.

Supernova made their debut on September 21, 2007, with six members - Kim Sungje, Kim Kwangsoo, Park Geonil, Song Jihyuk, Jung Yoonhak, and Yoon Sungmo. Supernova are currently promoting with five members as Kim Sungje fulfills his mandatory military service.
