TASTY Twins Reportedly File Lawsuit Against SM C&C For Contract Nullification

The TASTY twins of Daeryong and Soryong Jung are taking their contract dispute to the courts, reports Koreaboo.

Having announced on July that they would be halting their Korean promotions despite protests from their agency Woollim Entertainment, the twins are now seeking to nullify their contracts by filing a lawsuit against SM C&C, the parent company of Woollim.

But both Woollim and SM C&C do not have plans of backing down.

"Tasty have recently filed an official lawsuit to nullify their contracts through the court and the company is planning a counter-lawsuit against them," Woollim reportedly said in a interview with Star News.

Roughly a week after announcing their intention to stop activities in South Korea, Daeryong and Soryong then revealed that they would be releasing a Chinese single.

Woollim responded last month with a threat to pursue legal action, claiming that the twins are still bound ba a "valid, exclusive contract" and that "their Chinese activities and music releases are clear contract violations."

Observers of the unfolding TASTY saga have likened the contract dispute to the Chinese EXO members that have been battling SM Entertainment to also nullify their contracts. The comparison has only heated up as of late when the TASTY twins were spotted attending the solo concert of Z.Tao, formerly Tao of EXO.
