NBA Trade Rumors: Atlanta Hawks To Send Al Horford To Boston Celtics? Danny Ainge Ready To Capitalize

Will the Boston Celtics be able to convince the Atlanta Hawks to let go of one of their biggest assets in Al Horford?

Rumors are surfacing that the Boston Celtics are making a move to land the star center in any means possible. In fact, CBS Sports reported that Danny Ainge is getting ready to nab Horford from the Hawks before the season begins.

In fact, he also told Boston Globe: "We are going to go after anybody and everybody that we think is a significant player to upgrade our talent."

It is worth noting that the Celtics can be considered a winner after landing David Lee from the Golden State Warriors last season. But the question is, will the Hawks part ways with someone who is a vital piece to their successful run last season?

"Ainge did actually upgrade the roster with pretty good players but no one of any real, star-quality significance," the report noted. "When it comes down to it, all of these new additions are just fine, but don't be surprsied if Ainge makes another move or two during the season."

In a report by iSchool Guide, the Atlanta Hawks and Al Horford's camp is having a hard time agreeing to a contract and this might force the hands of the Hawks to part ways with their long-time center.

"The former Florida Gator who won multiple championships in College may want to seek other options as he refused to negotiate for an extension and elected to test the waters of free agency," the site reported. "The Hawks may not want to gamble on the uncertainty and seek assets that they can use if they need to rebuild-something the Celtics have plenty of."

Will this NBA trade rumor come to fruition? Stay tuned.
