Chinese Version Of CNBLUE's 'Cinderella' Chosen As Theme To Upcoming Film 'The Bad Man Must Die'

CNBLUE's "Cinderella" is taking the world by storm!

Since its release on September 14 "Cinderella" has been earning praise from all around the world. In a report by Korea Herald it was revealed that the Chinese version of "Cinderella" will become the theme song for the upcoming Korean-Chinese movie The Bad Man Must Die. CNBLUE's management company FNC Entertainment announced the news on September 16.

"CNBLUE's musicality and strong vocals suit the film well," Huayi Brothers, the Chinese entertainment company behind The Bad Man Must Die, explained according to the report.

The film stars Korean actress Son Ye-jin and Taiwanese actor Chen Bolin. It also is jointly directed by Korean director Kang Je Gyu and Chinese directors Feng Xiaogang and Sun Hao. It's described as a dark comedy following a Chinese teacher meeting a mysterious woman on Jeju Island. The film is set to premier on October 23 in China.

Not only is "Cinderella" to be featured in this upcoming Chinese movie but the track has also earned praise from American music magazine Billboard. Billboard praised "Cinderella" in its Korean music section on Tuesday. "The poignant live guitar and drums from the band are differentiated from other boy bands in Korea," the Billboard article stated.

CNBLUE's lead singer and guitarist Jung Yong Hwa takes the credit for the writing and composition of "Cinderella." He further wrote most of the remaining tracks on CNBLUE's second full album 2gether, with fellow members Lee Jong Hyun and Lee Jung Shin creating their own songs as well. The album was released on September 14 after a 19-month hiatus from the group.
