Fans Uncover Tribute To 10 Years Of Super Junior Hidden In Music Video For 'Magic'

Following the release of the music video for Super Junior's anniversary track, "Magic," fans took notice of throwbacks to Super Junior's earlier days.

"Magic," the second title track from Super Junior's tenth anniversary special album, was released on Sept. 16, and features dance moves from earlier Super Junior music videos and a hint to Super Junior's debut date.

"Magic" is Super Junior's second title track released to celebrate the group's decade in the industry, and was preceded by "Devil."

According to fans, each chorus rendition of the song featured a throw back dance move that was reminiscent of earlier Super Junior's songs "U," "No Other," "Sorry Sorry," and "Mamacita."

Sets used in the video also reminded fans of other videos filmed by the group over the years, including the videos for "No Other" and "U."

Similarly, an animated graphic of a phone number whispered into member Yesung's ear read the date of Super Junior's debut. The phone number, "01X-2005-116X," can be alternatively read as Nov. 6, 2005, the date of Super Junior's first performance of their debut song "Twins."

Super Junior debuted with 12 members in 2005 as a project group known as Super Junior 05. The group later dropped "05" and added Kyuhyun to the permanent lineup.

Super Junior has seen two members leave the group in a decade since their debut, and members have rotated in and out as members fulfill their mandatory military service in the Korean military.
