Bono First To Hear The Corrs’ New Album? Group Announced Their Comeback

The Corrs are reportedly working on a new album and U2 singer Bono recently revealed that he got a special listening session of the first record of the group after a decade.

In a report by Irish Times, the musician-philanthropist claimed that the tragedy in Ellis Island in the late 1890 to 1954 recently popped in his head and remembered that he worked on a song with the late Johnny Cash.

Coincidentally, he revealed that he had a first listen to a song from the new The Corrs album bearing the same name.

"The song was called Ellis Island, and I had forgotten that we started this song," he said regarding his collaboration with Cash.

"What was really bizarre about the coincidence was that day I had just heard a song called Ellis Island from The Corrs' new album. They just played it for me. It is a really, really special song."

Meanwhile, a little reality check for the fans. The Corrs are coming back in the scene 11 years after taking a break with at least eight children born between them.

In a recent Malton Mercury report, the group announced that they would be working on a new album in relation to the announcement of a series of shows on the road.

"We never sort of decided to stop or quit as a band," Sharon Corr said. "We've had eight children between us in the mean time so that kind of takes up 10 years so I think we were sort of entitled to it after sort of 15 years of being on the road."

The siblings announced UK shows in January and that tickets would go on sale this month and that they would play new songs expected from their forthcoming album.
"The Corrs will play Birmingham Genting Arena on Tuesday January 19, Cardiff Motorpoint Arena on Wednesday January 20, Liverpool Echo Arena on Friday January 22, London The O2 on Saturday January 23, Manchester Arena on Sunday January 24, Glasgow Hydro Arena on Tuesday January 26, Dublin 3 Arena on Thursday January 28 and The SSE Arena in Belfast on Friday January 29," as taken from the site.
