World Vision Charity Receives Rice Donation From Kim Jong Kook's International Fan Club

Kim Jong Kook celebrated his 20th anniversary since his debut as a singer, and his international fan club KJKNTL donated 20 bags of rice weighing a total of 20 kilograms to World Vision Korea to mark the milestone, reports The Korea Herald.

Part of World Vision Korea's activities is to provide for domestic and overseas children who are hungry and in need, a cause that is close to the heart of Kim Jong Kook, which is why the fans chose the said charity.

"Kim loves children and is highly interested in health. We hope children in the world grow up healthy like Kim," said KJKNTL in a statement.

World Vision Korea said the donated rice will be used in the organization's Love-Lunch Box Project that sends out free lunch boxes to more than 2,000 recipients in 11 regions in South Korea.

"We would like to convey gratitude to Kim's fan club being a big help to us. I hope more fans like them proliferate in the future," Jun Young-soon, World Vision Korea's domestic ministry head, reportedly said.

The fan rice donation celebrates the 20th anniversary since the debut of Kim Jong Kook back in 1995 as part of the duo Turbo. After several years, the singer pursued a solo career and went on to rack up hit singles.

2015 has been quite a year for Kim Jong Kook, making his drama debut last March and also gaining more popularity in China due to his aggressive and fearless personality in the variety show Running Man.
