GOT7's Jackson Injures Ankle 1 Week Before Album Release While Filming For 'Go! Dream Team'

Jackson Wang of male idol group GOT7 collapsed after injuring his ankle filming on the set of "Go! Dream Team."

On September 19th, Jackson and other members of the cast were filming for the KBS 2TV variety show at Damok plaza in Incheon, South Korea when the accident occurred. According to an insider at the TV station, he injured his ankle during filming and was rushed to the hospital.

In the morning on the 20th, a representative from JYP Entertainment, the idol singer's record label, stated that Jackson had sprained his ankle and will be in a half-cast for about a week.

Because of the sudden injury, conflicts have developed with the star's schedule. Jackson was not able to make an appearance on stage at the Hallyu Dream Concert later that evening.

Luckily, the injury is not serious enough that he cannot stand up and is expected to continue his position as an MC on SBS's weekly music performance program "Inkigayo."

GOT7 is scheduled to release their next album, "MAD," on September 29th. Jackson's ankle injury hopefully will not have any impact on the group's release date or live performance schedule.
