Henry Cavill Proves There's No Rivalry Between Him And 'Batman V Superman' Co-Star Ben Affleck; Praises Jennifer Garner's Ex

It's been reported that Henry Cavill's screen time will be cut in favor of Ben Affleck in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" but Gina Carano's ex has proven that there's no bad blood between the two.

In an interview with Total Film, the "Man of Steel" actor gushed about the "Gone Girl" star.

"I am sure he will be fantastic above all else," he said. "As a film maker, he has got his own style, you know. He is not copying anyone else."

"He is also, sort of, being tenacious in his career," Henry Cavill said of Ben Affleck. "He has had ups and downs. Now, he is very up again! I think that requires and shows a very special strength of character."

Henry Cavill went on to add, "It is something which I enjoy working with because jobs like this require strength of character. They require a dedication to the work and belief in oneself. Ben has that, clearly."

Umberto Gonzales of Heroic Hollywood first reported that studio execs have demanded that there should be more of Ben Affleck on screen rather than Henry Cavill for "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice."

"The latest hot rumor I am hearing is that Warners is requesting more Batman be put into the movie and less Superman. Supposedly, Ben Affleck's Batman is so good that he is blowing Henry Cavill's Superman right off the screen," he wrote.

"Like it or not," he added. "Batman has become the crown jewel of the DC Universe. Look at what is going in the video-game space with the Arkham series, or the fast-tracked Batman Lego movie spin off."

But in an interview for The Daily Beast, director Zack Snyder said that there might be truth to the report that Henry Cavill's time on screen for "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is limited.

"Only in that because it's a different Batman than the Batman that was in the Chris Nolan movies, so we have a little bit more explaining to do-and you just had a whole Superman movie," he said.

"But I think only in that way, because you need to understand where Batman is with everything. And that's more toward the beginning, but it evens back out as it goes on."
